Welbeck Landfill Site
Welcome to the Welbeck landfill website. Welbeck landfill is a former gravel pit to the east of Wakefield which has been operating as a landfill site for over 10 years. Through landfilling, a large area of derelict land (approximately 100 hectares) will be reclaimed for public benefit. This would not have been economically viable without the use of this area for the disposal of waste from Wakefield and the surrounding areas.
