With almost 20 years experience in environmental analysis Kempston Laboratory aims to provide a high quality, flexible and cost effective service to its customers.


Originally set up solely to provide an in house service to its parent company it has grown in recent years and with changes in the waste management sector over 75% of its annual turnover now comes from providing environmental analysis services to a range of customers in the UK and Europe including:

  • Major landfill operators
  • Major landfill gas utilisation companies
  • Biogas utilisation companies
  • Gas engine maintenance companies
  • Multinational environmental consultants

The laboratory is a UKAS accredited testing laboratory (No. 2125) accredited against the internationally recognised ISO 17025:2005 standard.

A new, three-year contract from Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council will see Waste Recycling Group (WRG) boost the authority’s recycling rates, divert more waste from landfill and save money.

Waste Recycling Group (WRG) is continuing to focus on energy efficiency as a key business objective for 2012, as it celebrates a very positive result in the first Carbon Reduction Commitment league table published this month.
Residents from Bracknell, Reading and Wokingham who use Smallmead and Longshot Lane Household Recycling Centres have once again given them both a comprehensive seal of approval.
JUST over 90% of waste taken to a Suffolk centre was recycled last month – saving over £20,000 in disposal costs.
